NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
LEESBURG TOWN CODE AMENDMENTS:
CHAPTER 32 (TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES), ARTICLE IV (OPERATION OF VEHICLES GENERALLY), SECTION 32-119 (MOTOR TRUCKS PROHIBITED UPON STREETS OF TOWN, EXCEPT WHERE SPECIFICALLY PERMITTED)
In accordance with Code of Virginia of 1950, as amended, Sections 15.2-1102, 15.2-1427 and 46.2-1304, the Leesburg Town Council will hold a public hearing on:
Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at 7:00 P.M.
in the Council Chambers of Town Hall,
25 West Market Street, Leesburg, VA
at which time the public shall have the right to present oral and written testimony on proposed amendments to the Town Code. The following ordinance will be discussed and may be enacted in whole or in part:
Sec. 32-119. - Motor trucks prohibited upon streets of town, except where specifically permitted.
Prohibited. No motor truck shall be operated in the town upon the streets or street intersections except when necessary for the purpose of receiving loads or making deliveries.
(14) Harrison Street, SE, between Catoctin Circle, SE, and Gateway Drive, SE.
(15) Gateway Drive, SE, between Harrison Street, SE, and Sycolin Road.
Alternate routes for all through truck traffic on Harrison Street, SE, shall use Catoctin Circle, SE, and South King Street.
