 Project Overview

The H-2 Historic Corridor Review is a collaborative effort between  the Board of Architectural Review and the Planning Commission to formulate a recommendation to the Town Council regarding the future of the H-2 Historic Corridor.  Per Council's Resolution 2016-136, staff is to work with both the BAR and Planning Commission to form a short term working group consisting of two representatives from both bodies to accomplish the following objectives:

  • Develop recommendations for how to improve the existing   H-2 Design Guidelines
  • Consider the Guidelines in the context of the East Market Street Small Area Plan
  • Take stakeholder input on ways to improve the Guidelines
  • Consider ways to streamline the design review process using updated Guidelines or under a substitute approach

The H-2 Working Group will meet every other week over the next several months before presenting their findings at a Joint BAR & Planning Commission meeting in June.  At this meeting recommendations will be finalized and reported back to Council prior to June 30, 2017.
