Kristin Brown, the director of the Loudoun County Office of Mapping and Geographic Information, will provide an overview of historic maps, aerial photography, and other resources that may be of use in your research of Loudoun County places and ancestry. The demonstration will include a tutorial on how to sign up for a free public mapping account so that you can create a custom interactive map to save for your future research. Kristin has a Masters degree in Geography from Murray State University in Western Kentucky. She has been with Loudoun County since 1998 and has an interest in historic maps and research.
