Special Event Sign Guidelines

Application: A complete application and payment must be submitted at least 3 weeks
(and no earlier than five months) before signs are to be displayed.
Applications will be processed as first-come, first-served. Sign availability is not guaranteed.

Criteria: To promote community based activities (with preference given to Leesburg events). Please note: Private, for-profit activities are not permissible. A sign to encourage visiting a location vs. an event is reserved for Town facilities.

Display: Advertising fee is $25 per week per sign. If multiple signs (on multiple lines) are to be displayed on a single side of a board, each will incur a $25 fee. Signs may be displayed for up to six weeks in total prior to an event, for full weeks only. A week runs from Monday-Sunday.

Signs: Cost is $85 each for a new sign or $45 each for a revised sign. Signs are 8" X 9' white aluminum strips. Text is Times Roman Bold typeface, all capital letters, 6" high, forest green color, 24 spaces maximum. Signs remain the property of the Town of Leesburg.

Payment is due at the time of the application approval by cash, credit card or, check (payable to the Town of Leesburg). An Events Coordinator will contact you to arrange payment.
