The Town of Leesburg is proud to offer family-friendly events and festivals to residents and visitors alike. Take in the sights and sounds of Historic Downtown Leesburg while enjoying one of our many festive events, gather in Ida Lee Park to celebrate Independence Day, or search for the perfect gift during one of two annual fine arts and crafts shows held at Ida Lee Park Recreation Center.  No matter your interests, the Town of Leesburg is home to an event for everyone. Community events that are held in Leesburg but not hosted by the Town may be found on the Town of Leesburg’s community calendar.

Spring Bling, a Hometown Fine Arts & Crafts ShowApplication Is Now Live! Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Ida Lee Recreation Center. Shop for handcrafted one-of-a-kind gifts. The event is free to the public and opens at 9:00 a.m. and runs until 4:00 p.m.

Leesburg’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Ida Lee ParkChildren ages 1 to 8 years old can hunt for prize filled eggs and visit with the Easter Bunny!

35th Annual Leesburg Flower and Garden Festival Applications Available Now! Leesburg will be in bloom for the annual festival Saturday, April 26, 2025, and Sunday, April 27, 2025. Landscape designs, plants, flowers and herbs, outdoor gardening supplies, and so much more.  

Leesburg Kids to Parks Day: Saturday, May 17, 2025. 

Memorial Day Ceremony:   Monday, May 26, 2025, at the Loudoun County Courthouse. Annual ceremony honoring those who lost their lives in battle serving the United States and recognizing those currently serving in the United States military.

Summer JAMS: Summer JAMS will return June 7 with concerts on Leesburg Town Green most Saturdays in June through mid-August.  Performances will take place 7 to 8:30 p.m. and feature some of the area's best musicians. Check back for a full list of 2025 performers. This Town of Leesburg summer concert series is free to the public. Bring a blanket or lawns chairs. No pets or smoking.

35th Annual Independence Day CelebrationFriday, July 4, 2025. Start the day with the Independence Day Parade beginning at 10 a.m. from Ida Lee Park to Fairfax Street through historic downtown Leesburg. End the evening with a music concert in the park followed by the area's largest fireworks display!

September 11th Observance: Thursday, September 11, 2024. The Leesburg Town Council will hold a brief remembrance ceremony at the Town’s Freedom Memorial, located at Freedom Park.

Leesburg AirshowFile your Flight Plan for Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Leesburg Executive Airport.  

Freeze Your Gizzard Cross Country 5K and 1-mile Fun Run: Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Ida Lee Park in partnership with Loudoun Hunger Relief.  

HOLIDAYS IN LEESBURG

Holiday Tree Lighting: Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. The ceremony will be held on Town Green in front of the Leesburg Town Hall.  *Date subject to change.

34th Annual Holiday Fine Arts & Crafts Show: Saturday and Sunday, December 7 & 8, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. The crafts show will be held at Ida Lee Park Recreation Center in the main hallway, basketball courts, group fitness room and lower level. Shop for one-of-a kind, handcrafted items from over 95 local and regional artisans.

Christmas and Holiday Parade:  Saturday, December 14, 2024. The annual parade will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Ida Lee Park and travel down King Street through historic Leesburg ending at Fairview Street. Rain date will be Sunday, December 15, 2024.  Please check back for parade entry form.
