As of Monday, July 18, 2022. The Town’s Memorial Tree Program will be temporarily suspended until further notice.
The Town of Leesburg welcomes private donations of trees for its parks and public spaces.
For a donation of $250, the Town will purchase and install a tree in honor of a friend, loved one, or special event. The tree planting will include the installation of a small plaque mounted on a low post adjacent to the tree. The donor chooses the plaque wording, up to 50 (maximum) characters in length.
Most trees are planted at Ida Lee Park according to our master planting plan, but other locations throughout the Town are available as well. Staff accepts suggestions on tree species but reserves the right to recommend a tree that is appropriate for the character and conditions at the selected location.
Below you will find a list of the Town’s Memorial Trees with a corresponding map. If you would like to visit one of the dedicated trees, copy and paste the approximate GPS coordinates provided into a map application, such as Google Maps, or click on the coordinates for directions. The trees are listed alphabetically by their dedication title.
