SUMMER DAY CAMP - 2024

The Town of Leesburg Department of Parks and Recreation offers a variety of summer camp programs for children from preschool age to middle school. The camps are held at Ida Lee Park Recreation Center and include full day and half day programs. Swimming lessons is also available as a add-on to our full day Kids and Ida Fun Camp programs.

Session D: Smithsonian Museum, Dave and Busters, Harper Ferry River Riders Tubing

Session E:  Harpers Ferry Adventure Center White Water Rafting, Leesburg Animal Zoo, Bowlero

Session F: River Riders Aerial Adventure Park, National Air and Space Museum DC, Artechouse DC

Session G: IFly, DC Spy Museum, The Great Xcape Sterling

Session H: Top Golf, Camp Highroad 2hr course, Fun Land of Fairfax

Summer Day Camp Swimming Lessons (Ages 5-12)

Children participating in full day Kids Camp and Ida Fun Camp will have the opportunity to participate in group swimming lessons each day at the conclusion of the summer camp program.  If your child is registered for the corresponding week of summer camp, they are able to participate.  Camp Counselors will take campers to their lessons each day and remain with them until parents pick up at the conclusion of the lesson.  Swim lessons run Monday - Thursday of the camp week.
After care with Kamp Keepers is also available.

Ida Fun Camp (Campers Entering Kindergarten - Sixth grade) 
Campers will participate in a recreational camp program that includes indoor and outdoor pool time, art projects, structured indoor and outdoor games and activities, hikes, songs, and more.  Campers should bring two snacks, a bag lunch, full water bottle, and sunscreen each day and a swimsuit and towel each day. Every Wednesday campers will visit AV Symington Aquatics center.

All participants must pay a non-refundable registration fee in order to register for a camp session.  This fee includes two camp T-shirts to be worn daily. Additional T-shirts may be purchased. The camp fee includes one on-site field trip activity and one trip to A.V. Symington Aquatic Center (Wednesdays) each week. The on-site activity schedule is available above.  


Teen Adventure Camp (Campers Entering 7th, 8th, 9th grade)
Campers will explore interesting and exciting destinations around the D.C., Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland areas.  Teens will travel to places including water parks, and adventure sites (i.e., rafting, tubing, climbing, hiking, and laser tag.)  In addition, they will venture to various indoor locations like skating, museums and the movies.  Campers will leave and return to Ida Lee Park each day via Loudoun County school buses or the Town of Leesburg’s 12-passenger van.  Campers need to bring a lunch, snacks, drinks, water bottle, swimsuit, towel and sunscreen to camp each day.

Last Hurrah Camp (Ages 5-12)
Campers will enjoy this one week session at the conclusion of our normal camp season!  They will play outdoor and indoor games, and enjoy arts & crafts time.  Campers should bring two snacks, a bag lunch, full water bottle, and sunscreen to camp each day.  Camper information and forms will be available for download above once registration begins.  Campers who participated in a regular 2024 summer camp session will not need any additional forms.

Kamp Keepers (Ages 5-14)
This is a pre or post camp care for Kids, Ida Fun and Teen Adventure campers.  Campers will play indoor games under supervised care.

Kamp Keepers Drop In (Ages 5-14)
Drop in is a perfect solution for those who only need early drop-off or late pick-up once in a while. Check at the front desk for availability for the morning or afternoon that you need and put your worries aside.  Drop-in registration is not available until the week prior to camp beginning. Space is limited.
