Ida Lee Gazebo

2024 National Kids to Parks Day

In recognition of the 14th Anniversary of Kids to Parks Day on May 18, Leesburg Parks and Recreation invites you to join us for a walk, scavenger hunt, and/or fitness station challenge through our flagship Ida Lee Park.  This guided outing for kids will take you from one side of the park to the other and highlight some of the things we love most about Ida Lee.

The activity will be available from Friday,  May 17 through Sunday, May 19  and can be completed at a time that's convenient for you.

The 2024 guide and map is available for download at the link below.  Paper copies are also available at the Ida Lee Recreation Center front desk.  Using the map and accompanying clues, kids will explore Ida Lee Park and answer a series of questions as well as be challenged to complete various exercises.

The first 100 kids to present their completed questions or a selfie of themselves completing a fitness station challenge will receive a pair of Kids to Parks Day sunglasses.  Sunglasses must be picked up in person at the Ida Lee front desk upon completion.

Parking is available at the Ida Lee Recreation Center (60 Ida Lee Drive) and all are invited to participate.  See you in the park!
