Persons wishing to report lost property should print and complete the below listed form and submit it:

• In person at the Leesburg Police Department;
• Fax the form to 703-771-4531; OR
• Mail it to the Leesburg Police Department at 65 Plaza Street NE, Leesburg, VA 20176.

Persons utilizing this form certify that the item in question was “Lost” and not being reported as “Stolen” (Items reported as “Stolen” require a full police report). The item must have been lost within the Town of Leesburg’s corporate limits.

The information is then given to the department’s property officer who will cross reference the information with items that are in the property and evidence room for possible matches. If a possible match is located, the owner will be notified and required to provide identifying information of the item (receipt of purchase, self applied identifying markings/features, photos, etc.) before it is released.
