Copies of offense reports are not released unless so order by the court.

A report verification can be provided to persons involved in the incident or offense, with proper identification. A report verification will include:

• Incident number
• The identity of the investigating officer or other point of contact
• Date and time of the report
• Requestor's relation to the report
• A general description of the criminal activity reported
• The general location where the alleged crime was committed
• A general description of property damaged or stolen, if applicable
• A general description of any injuries suffered, if applicable

Requests for report verifications can be made in person at the Leesburg Police Department, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

There is a $6.00 fee.

Effective November 1, 2022, we are only able to accept credit/debit card payments at the Leesburg Police Department. Those wishing to pay by cash or check can do so at the Finance Department at Town Hall (25 West Market Street). A 2.49% service fee will be applied to all credit/debit card transactions.
