Interested in gaining a firsthand perspective on law enforcement in our community? The Leesburg Police Department offers the opportunity to participate in a ride-along with one of our officers. This program allows residents to observe daily police operations and better understand the challenges and responsibilities of law enforcement. To request a ride-along, simply fill out our online form or contact our department directly. Participants must meet certain eligibility requirements, and approval is subject to availability. We look forward to giving you an inside look at how we serve and protect Leesburg.

You can request to ride along with an officer from the patrol division. Simply fill out the application and waiver form (links below). Once the application and waiver forms are completed, you must bring both forms to Police Headquarters 65 Plaza Street NE during normal business hours, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You must show a valid form of identification when turning in your application and waiver forms. Once the application is processed you will be contacted to schedule your ride along.
