You may stop water and sewer service with the Town of Leesburg by completing and submitting an online application

Please allow 48 hours for the Town to process your request. Be sure to provide a forwarding address and a current email and phone number to ensure the Town is able to reach you.

Final Billing

A final bill will be issued within one week of your stop service request date.

  • The final bill is prorated based upon your billing cycle and will be marked as ***FINAL BILL*** on your statement.
  • If you have a deposit remaining on your account, it will be applied to your final bill.
  • If there is a credit balance remaining on your account after your final bill is processed, a refund will be issued.

You will receive a Final Billing which is prorated based on your billing cycle. Based upon your requested stop date, a quarterly bill may be processed prior to your Final Bill being issued. Your Final Bill will be marked as a "***FINAL BILL***". If you have a Security Deposit on your account, it will be applied to your Final Bill. If there is a credit balance on your Final Bill, a refund will be issued.

The Town of Leesburg requires a minimum of 48 hours notice to stop service Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, excluding weekends and holidays. Please call Customer Service at 703-771-2713 or email watersewer@leesburgva.gov with any questions concerning stopping service.
