Newspaper Notices

The Code of Virginia requires that all localities publish notices of all public hearings before the Town Council and Planning Commission.  The newspaper of record for the Town of Leesburg is Loudoun Now. Public hearing notices are published not more than 21 days and not less than 6 days prior to the hearing date.


Website Notices

In addition to publishing newspaper notices, the Town of Leesburg also publishes notices of public hearings on the Town website. The calendar below lists upcoming public hearings before the Town Council, Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, Board of Architectural Review, and Town Manager.

At these hearings, all persons desiring to express their views concerning these matters will be heard. Qualified individuals with a disability who require a reasonable accommodation to attend and/or participate in the public hearing, should contact staff to request the accommodation:

Public Hearing Notice to Consider Minor Special Exception Application TLSE-2023-0001 Tru Urgent Care/Bellewood Commons

NOTICE OF TOWN COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING
TO CONSIDER MINOR SPECIAL EXCEPTION APPLICATION TLSE-2023-0001 TRU URGENT CARE/BELLEWOOD COMMONS 

Pursuant to Sections 15.2-1427, 15.2-2204, 15.2-2205 and 15.2-2285 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, the LEESBURG TOWN COUNCIL will hold a public hearing on TUESDAY, APRIL 11, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers, 25 West Market Street, Leesburg, Virginia 20176, to consider Minor Special Exception application TLSE-2023-0001, Tru Urgent Care/Bellewood Commons. 

The subject of the application proposes an emergency care facility in the existing building at 531 East Market Street. The property is zoned CD-CC, Crescent District – Corridor Commercial and is further described by Loudoun County Parcel Identification Number (PIN) 188-15-9031-000.

Minor Special Exception Application TLSE-2023-0001 is a request by Neuman – Bellewood, LLC to allow the re-use of an existing 2,534 square feet in the Bellewood Commons Shopping Center for an emergency care facility pursuant to Town of Leesburg Zoning Ordinance Section 6.4.2 Use Regulations and Section 7.10.2.G.2 Applicability.

Public Input Sessions

In addition to formal public hearings, the Town often schedules open public meetings to provide citizens with information about specific projects or issues, and offer them an opportunity to ask questions and give feedback to Town staff. When these meetings are scheduled, they will be posted on the Public Input Sessions page.
