Fire and emergency medical services, including emergency response, training, fire prevention and investigation and hazardous material mitigation, in the Town of Leesburg are provided through a combination system, involving both volunteer and career personnel, and are coordinated through the Loudoun County Combined Fire & Rescue System.

All of these companies welcome new volunteers. Please contact the individual companies for information about volunteer opportunities.
Through this program, residents can schedule a free home safety inspection. If, during the inspection, smoke alarms are found to be broken or outdated, department personnel will replace them at no cost, and install additional alarms where necessary. The program is free of charge and available to all Loudoun County residents, regardless of whether their homes have existing smoke alarms or not. Put A Finger On It! Smoke Alarm Program
Smoke alarms save countless lives each year. In 2008, the Loudoun County Department of Fire, Rescue & Emergency Management began its "Put A Finger On It" Smoke Alarm Program to raise awareness of the importance of smoke alarms and to provide free smoke alarms to all County residents.Through this program, residents can schedule a free home safety inspection.
