Newspaper Notices

The Code of Virginia requires that all localities publish notices of all public hearings before the Town Council and Planning Commission.  The newspaper of record for the Town of Leesburg is Loudoun Now. Public hearing notices are published not more than 21 days and not less than 6 days prior to the hearing date.


Website Notices

In addition to publishing newspaper notices, the Town of Leesburg also publishes notices of public hearings on the Town website. The calendar below lists upcoming public hearings before the Town Council, Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, Board of Architectural Review, and Town Manager.

At these hearings, all persons desiring to express their views concerning these matters will be heard. Qualified individuals with a disability who require a reasonable accommodation to attend and/or participate in the public hearing, should contact staff to request the accommodation:

             The LEESBURG TOWN COUNCIL will hold a public hearing on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 25 West Market Street, Leesburg, Virginia, 20176, to consider the following Resolution:

 A Resolution to authorize acquisition by condemnation of right of way dedication, permanent storm drainage and waterline easements and temporary construction easements on and across real property for the public purpose of construction of the Morven Park Road Sidewalk project; to enter upon the area encompassed by the right of way dedication and easements;  to begin and continue construction before the conclusion of condemnation proceedings pursuant to Virginia Code Sections 15.2-1901 through 15.2-1904 and Chapter 3 of Title 25.1 (Sections 25.1-300 et seq.); and to further authorize payment of just compensation to the following property owners:

 Right of way dedication and permanent storm drainage and waterline easements and temporary construction easements on and across real property, PIN 230-16-1059-000, tax map # /48////////21/; and Right of way dedication and temporary construction easements on and across real property, PIN 230-15-8330-000, tax map # /48////////24A.

Public Input Sessions

In addition to formal public hearings, the Town often schedules open public meetings to provide citizens with information about specific projects or issues, and offer them an opportunity to ask questions and give feedback to Town staff. When these meetings are scheduled, they will be posted on the Public Input Sessions page.
