Newspaper Notices

The Code of Virginia requires that all localities publish notices of all public hearings before the Town Council and Planning Commission.  The newspaper of record for the Town of Leesburg is Loudoun Now. Public hearing notices are published not more than 21 days and not less than 6 days prior to the hearing date.


Website Notices

In addition to publishing newspaper notices, the Town of Leesburg also publishes notices of public hearings on the Town website. The calendar below lists upcoming public hearings before the Town Council, Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, Board of Architectural Review, and Town Manager.

At these hearings, all persons desiring to express their views concerning these matters will be heard. Qualified individuals with a disability who require a reasonable accommodation to attend and/or participate in the public hearing, should contact staff to request the accommodation:

TO CONSIDER AMENDMENT OF THE
PAYMENT IN-LIEU PARKING FEE 
IN THE H-1, OVERLAY, OLD AND HISTORIC DISTRICT 
INCORPORATED IN THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT 
FEE SCHEDULE 

Pursuant to Sections 15.2-107, 15.2-2204, and 15-2.2286 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, the LEESBURG TOWN COUNCIL will hold a public hearing on 

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2024, at 7:00 p.m.
in the Town Council Chambers
25 W. Market Street, Leesburg VA 20176

at which time, the public shall have the right to present oral and written testimony on an ordinance amending the Payment in-lieu Parking Fee in the H-1, Overlay, Old and Historic District, as applicable under Town of Leesburg Zoning Ordinance Section 11.4.3 and incorporated in the Department of Community Development Fee Schedule, from the current fee amount of $8,254.60 per parking space to $16,800.00 per parking space, with continued annual adjustments in accordance with the Consumer Price Index.

At this hearing all persons desiring to express their views concerning these matters will be heard. Public Input Sessions

In addition to formal public hearings, the Town often schedules open public meetings to provide citizens with information about specific projects or issues, and offer them an opportunity to ask questions and give feedback to Town staff. When these meetings are scheduled, they will be posted on the Public Input Sessions page.
