Tuscarora Creek Flood Mitigation & Stream Restoration
Project Description: This project had two components, one for flood protection and one for stream restoration.
The flood protection portion of the project included channel improvements to Tuscarora Creek to help reduce flooding of the adjoining residential properties. In addition, storm drainage was included to handle the 100-year storm event along with a three to four foot high wall.
The stream restoration portion of the project included realignment of the stream channel to reduce/eliminate erosion and improve overall stream health, and planting of a riparian buffer along portions of the stream.

Project Status: This project was completed in 2021.
