Airport AerialThe Leesburg Executive Airport was originally constructed in 1964.  Major expansion and reconstruction of the airport has occurred since that date.  Currently, the airport is the second busiest general aviation airport in Virginia.  The airport is designated as a general aviation reliever airport, and as such serves an important role to provide capacity relief for the heavily congested air space around Dulles International and Reagan National airports.  The links in the navigational pane on the left side of the screen will take you to a list of current funded airport projects in the Capital Improvement Program.  Improvements at the airport are guided by the Leesburg Executive Airport Master Plan, last updated in 2007.
