Project Description: This project included drainage improvements at the intersection of Market Street and King Street. Inlets located at each corner of the intersection were replaced with new inlets set back away from the corners to avoid damage by turning movements of heavy trucks. Also included in the project was the replacement of the 50 year old street lights and rerouting power to the lights and signal pole underground. These improvements resulted in improved drainage and reduced repair and maintenance costs. The project also included improvements to the alley located between 3 and 5 South King Street, which provides public access to several addresses.

Current Status: The alley improvements were completed in Spring 2021 and the intersection improvements were completed in late 2023.
